Denis Kozhukhin makes debut with Northern Sinfonia, tours with the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire and returns to the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra
This week Kozhukhin will make his debut appearance with the Northern Sinfonia. He will give two performances with the orchestra, at Middlesbrough Town Hall on 3 April and at the Sage Gateshead on 4 April, when he will perform Grieg’s Piano Concerto under the baton of Rory Macdonald.
The following week, Kozhukhin will also make his debut with the Orchestra National des Pay de la Loire, with whom he will give four concerto performances. He will perform Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with conductor John Axelrod at the Centre des Congrès in Angers on 11 and 14 April and at La Cité, Nantes on 12 and 13 April.
Following his hugely successful Prokofiev Piano Concerto cycle last year, Kozhukhin returns to the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra for two performances at the end of this month. He will perform Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 3 with Donald Runnicles at the Glasgow City Halls (18 April) and at Perth Concert Hall (19 April).
