Denis Kozhukhin performs with Orchestre National de Lille, Limburgs Orchestra and Orchestre National de Belgique

Denis Kozhukhin begins 2012 with a tour of France with the Orchestre National de Lille. Kozhukhin will give six performances of Bartók’s Piano Concerto No.3 under the baton of Jean-Claude Casadesus including performances in Lille, Dunkirk and Dijon.

The following week Kozhukhin will join the Limburgs Orchestra and Ed Spanjaard for three performances of Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No.3, including a concert at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam on 21 January.

At the end of the month, Kozhukhin returns to the Orchestre National de Belgique with whom he will give three performances of Brahms’ Piano Concerto No.1 with Vakhtang Matchavariani.

Denis Kozhukhin continues Prokofiev cycle with BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra

After the huge success of the opening performances of his complete Prokofiev Piano Concerto cycle, described as “unmissable” by the Scotsman, Denis Kozhukhin returns to the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra for the second instalment of the series.

Kozhukhin will perform Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No.1 under the baton of Lan Shui at the Glasgow City Halls on November 24, and the concert will be broadcast by BBC Radio 3. Kozhukhin will also perform Schoenberg’s Six Little Piano Pieces at the post-concert Coda Performance, which will also be broadcast by Radio 3.

Denis Kozhukhin embarks on Prokofiev piano concertos cycle with the BBC Scottish Symphony

This month sees Denis Kozhukhin make his highly anticipated UK debut with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, which will mark the beginning of an exciting cycle of all five Prokofiev piano concertos with the orchestra.

On October 6 and 7, Kozhukhin will perform Piano Concerto No.3 under the baton of Xian Zhang at Glasgow City Halls. Both concerts will be recorded by BBC Radio 3.

The next installment of the cycle will be on November 24, when Kozhukhin will perform Piano Concerto No.1 with Lan Shui.

Denis Kozhukhin performs at the Jerusalem Chamber Music Festival

At the beginning of September, Denis Kozhukhin will return to Tel Aviv to give four performances at the Jerusalem Chamber Music Festival. Kozhukhin will also give a number of recitals across Europe this month, including appearances in Montreux, Tilburg, Tübingen and Lisbon, where he will perform works by Haydn, Brahms, Liszt and Rachmaninov.

Denis Kozhukhin plays at summer festivals across Europe

Denis Kozhukhin returns to the Rheingau Festival this month, appearing with Les Siècles playing Beethoven Piano Concerto No.5, conducted by François-Xavier Roth. The concert is on 25 August at the Kurhaus Wiesbaden. Other Festival appearances this summer include recitals at the Duzhniki Festival on 6 August, and MDR Musiksommer, Wartburg, where he will play a programme of Haydn, Brahms and Liszt.

Kozhukhin will also play in the opening performances of the Oslo Chamber Music Festival, playing Mussorgsky Pictures at an Exhibition in the newly-restored University Aula in Oslo on 12 August. He will play a second recital in Oslo on the following day, with Haydn and Brahms on the programme, at Oscarshall Castle.

Denis Kozhukhin appears at new festival in Brussels

Denis Kozhukhin will appear at the brand new Musiq’3 Festival in Brussels this weekend, performing two different solo recital programmes including works by Brahms and Liszt. He will also perform a duo recital of works by Prokofiev and Mozart with Lorenzo Gatto. The performances are on 2 and 3 July at the Flagey, Brussels.

Denis Kozhukhin performs at the Klavierfest Ruhr

Denis Kozhukhin will appear at the Klavierfest Ruhr on June 25 in a programme including Haydn, Brahms and Liszt. This will follow appearances at the Progetto Martha Argerich in Lugano on June 17, where he will perform Rachmaninov Sonata No.1 and Trio No.2 (with Renaud Capuçon and Yan Levionnois), and at the newly established Klavierfieber Festival in Berlin, on June 21 and 22.
