Denis Kozhukhin makes debut with Vienna Symphony and returns to the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra
On 14 October, Denis Kozhukhin will make his debut with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. Kozhukhin will perform Prokofiev Piano Concerto No.2 at the Musikverein under the baton of Marin Alsop.
This month also sees Kozhukhin return to the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, when he will give two performances of Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No.4 with conductor Kirill Karabits. Kozhukhin’s performances will take place at the Lighthouse in Poole on 10 October, which will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3, and also at the Anvil in Basingstoke on 11 October.

Denis Kozhukhin steps in to perform Verbier Festival recital
On 3 August, award-winning young Russian pianist Denis Kozhukhin will step in to replace Yuja Wang for a recital at the Verbier Festival. The performance takes place at 7pm at the Salle des Combins with the following programme:
Haydn: Sonata No.59 in E flat major
Wagner (arr. Liszt): Tannhäuser Overture
Liszt: ‘Tarantella’ from Venezia e Napoli
Mussorgsky: Pictures at an Exhibition
This will be Kozhukhin’s third appearance at the festival since his debut in 2003 when he won the ‘Prix d’Honneur’ at the Verbier Festival Academy.

Denis Kozhukhin makes London recital debut at the City of London Festival
On Monday 9 July, Denis Kozhukhin will make his London recital debut at the City of London Festival at the Merchant Taylor’s Hall. The programme will open with Franck’s Violin Sonata in A major (arranged for cello and piano) which Kozhukhin will perform with Narek Hakhnazaryan. The second half of the concert will feature Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition for solo piano, which will bring the recital to a rousing conclusion.

Kozhukhin completes Prokofiev Cycle with BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra
This month, Denis Kozhukhin will complete his hugely successful cycle of Prokofiev Concerti with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. On 5 April, Kozhukhin will perform Prokofiev Concerto No.5 at Glasgow City Halls, under the baton of Ludovic Morlot, bringing this “unmissable” cycle to a close.
Later this month, Kozhukhin will travel to Paris to give two recitals at the Auditorium du Louvre. On 25 April, Kozhukhin will give a solo recital with a programme comprising Liszt’s Twelve Transcendental Etudes. The following day, Kozhukhin will be joined by cellist Jakob Koranyi for a programme which will include works by Brahms, Debussy, Bloch and Dutilleux.

Denis Kozhukhin to make his Casals Festival debut
This month, Denis Kozhukhin will travel to Puerto Rico to make his debut at the prestigious Casals Festival. On Saturday 17 March, Kozhukhin will perform Prokofiev Piano Concerto No.3 under the baton of Hans Graf in a performance at the Luis A. Ferré Performing Arts Center in San Juan.

Denis Kozhukhin makes debut with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra & continues Prokofiev cycle with BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra
In February, Denis Kozhukhin makes his debut with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Marin Alsop. Kozhukhin will give three performances of Rachmaninov’s Variations on a theme of Paganini, including a concert at the Lighthouse in Poole on 1 February which will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3.
Later in the month, Denis Kozhukhin returns to the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, where he continues his hugely successful cycle of Prokofiev piano concerti. Kozhukhin will perform Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No.4 under the baton of Jun Märkl, with performances at the Glasgow City Halls on 16 February and at the Music Hall, Aberdeen on 17 February, both of which will be recorded by the BBC Radio 3.
